I was going through some photo shoots from the last few years and decided to string some shots together as they seem to fit this recording on the push pull! Hope you like it!
The opening and closing scene was done at minus 13 degrees and the steam is rising from the loch because the water is warmer than the air temp.

Thank you Dale,
Glad you liked the recording and photo content.
I confess it was somewhat self indulgent, I put this together as all of the images have meaning to me and match the theme of the song. Steel players naturally reflect emotion and that is what I was trying to convey.
For interest a brief explanation of couple of shots!
Timeline;
0.15 Mirror mirror, Viccy is from Rome, location 50’s run down property in London, Paul McCartney used it recently for PR shots not long before I did that shoot.
0.57 This little cutie was at a wedding, location NY, the ceremony and meal was on a cruise up the Hudson river NY. Unforgettable! Is she not a ‘little princess!’
1.12 You may not think it but this lass is one clever dude, a multi linguist from Brazil who does lots of work in Brussels and throughout Europe on immigration issues etc.
1.52 Alison with her stunning eyes, I printed it on canvas and sent to Iraq to a member of our armed forces as a gift from the soldier’s sisters who had found me on the net and at the brother’s request asked me to get it to him to remind him of home!
2.06 Abbey is a little angel who was then in the midst of a family breakup! Such a poignant shot, she is rapidly growing up however and dealing with it all now.
Life’s circumstances with its ups and downs form the backbone of ‘real’ country music, Nothing enhances these emotions like a pedal steel guitar, nothing but nothing compares!
I doubt I have conveyed it here but I have tried! Bob

Nice playing Bob and photos. I looked at all you photo's. Great eye. I had a question about the one with the black guy asleep against the planter. Was that staged or did you just catch it. The color, contrast and texture are great.

Bob,
Pushing the button is the easy part. I can do that. Knowing WHEN to push the button is what takes talent. Much like music, knowing WHEN to play. Haven't looked at all of the site yet (I defiantly will), but what I have seen are incredible images. Much, much more than just pushing a button. You sure gave the site the appropriate name.

Hi Dennis, That shot was for real! It was lucky I had the camera with me having been up at Central Park, it was near Radio City Music Hall around 6th and 51st, I turned the corner and there he was, the hair in rollers did it for me hence the picture, some people walking by just smiled others never turned a hair!
Attached the pic so others can see what we're on here!

Ah Mark this is the question that causes fall out! Which camp! I am a Nikon man, never been able to get on with Canon but like PSG preference everybody to their own! The shots on the video were done either on the D2x or the D3 I'm told it is an extension to my arm! Hope Christmas has been good for you so far!
Thank you Billy hope you had super time in Oz and hope to see you at one of our meetings in 2014...Bob |
