Try Nob Sugino for lap steel and Weissenborn videos. 'Woody' is one of my favorites. 'Fruits of Fortune' on the Duesenberg Pomona 6 is also great.

This is how they are doing it across the ocean. The Lap steel cost a few grand, but a very cool instrument. I was impressed with these guys. They are definitely having fun. Michael

I just stumbled across Larry Hutcherson videos. I really like what he does on pop/rock tunes.

Yes he is really good. Great take on Little Wing. Hey Paul I spent Thanksgiving in Placerville. Maybe we can hook up on my next visit down there. Always looking for comrades to play with.

Mike it is diffrent alright. It sure is not my kind of music. I'm a strait old country music boy and have been since I was 6 years old and that is 71 years ago.I like keeping it country.Don't get me wrong they do a great job for their kind of music. We all have our taste of music.

In case you have missed it, fellow forumite James Kerr has some really nice listening:

I've learned a couple of songs by listening to him, but somehow, mine don't sound remotely like his Sad

...and of course, there is Doug's music.

Right on for sure I have both these great slide players in my favorites and I'm excited to learn more about their technique and the type of guitars they use. Now after all these years of playing the 6 string, I'm becoming fascinated with the sound of the 8 string and have been thinking of a combo a 6 and 8 string combo. I'm so glad that lap sliding is still here and here to stay....And have to thank my dad who was born in Hawaii for starting me on that Hawaiian Steel Guitar....

Now I want to share with you One of my most favorite guys Mike Auldridge . He's not with us but his music is. Hope you enjoy this fellow he inspired me so much.

Yessir. Mr. Auldridge can surely play.

As a matter of fact, he has made me consider trading my Remington S8 for a dobro. I find myself playing my homemade 12 string more than anything else(I don't use all 12 yet Confused ), and really enjoy the soulful sound of the reso.
