I really have enjoyed this video. Great playing, so smooth and clean and tone to the bone. Anyone notice the pajamas David is wearing? I am gonna buy some if you can play like that.

WOW! Nice, what is he doing at the :32 mark? Is he raking his picks backward over the strings or is that just some really sweet pick blocking?

david..this is really the first time i've gotten to watch someone play a 12 string such as yours and it impresses me. i've always considered an all in one tuning and you illustrate that here by starting off a little on the standard major e9 type licks, gradually adding in more extended chording which is just right. i notice your left knee has some travelling to do with all those pedals and the spread. does that just eventually become a natural thing or do you wish for a tighter spread of knees and pedals? excellent anyway. thanx!

..and here's an unfair addition to my questions: could i get a good bit of the combined 9th and 6th styles with a somewhat simpler setup of say 6 (or 7 if i had to) floor pedals.
i've kinda always considered a minimalist approach to a 12 string but still want to be able to cop the basic 'hold it' and 'nightlife' types of sounds,as well as standard 9th honky tonk stuff.

...and then would you teach me how to do it all in one day?

Hey David,

Damm. That's good. Pitch, tone, clean pickin'. A cool style, too.

Chris,
The levers are really just right, given the 9 pedals on the floor .. I can get around all the pedals and not have the knees in my way, One could cut it down to 7 & 5, and play a lot... remember it's a Bb 6 th, so I do things a bit different.. Very Happy

Thank's Sonny and Ron Very Happy

Heres another Video, just found this a few days ago...

gotcha Bb6...i like the way you seemlessly combine the sounds, which i always thought was the way it should be.
is your tuning similar to junior knight and reece?
