Alright guys, I'm selling this at quite a discount because I'm in dire need of money. The price is $3000 cash on the barrel head(very firm) + the 2.5% for selling it here on the Steel Guitar Forum.. If you buy this you will also be agreeing to pay the 2.5%..
I am not shipping this guitar anywhere, local pickup preferred. I might consider meeting somewhere for the right price as well...
This guitar is hand built by JD Myers in Warsaw OH. The sound is simply amazing, sweet as sugar and louder than freight train.. I has very little playtime on it and has always been in a humidified case. EVERYTHING on it is quality USA made hardware including Waverly tuners..
It will not be for sale long, it is also for sale at other venues as well as locally too.. I really don't want to sell it but there are other priorities driving this... If I find the money I need before this is sold, it will be off the market, especially at $3000...
This was my "build" thread on it over at the Hangout..

I can also be reached at four one nine, four one zero, five nine zero one..
Thanks for looking and here are some pictures..

Just wanted to add that this guitar was built after JD started using the rounded fingerboard end and the modern snake head style headstock, I asked him for the traditional headstock shape and the squared off fingerboard when it was built..
I'm a little surprised no one has had any questions or comments..
Like I mentioned, the only reason I'm selling is because without a house a guitar isn't that important..
Thanks!!

Jim, it sure is a beauty, but with the exception of perhaps a fairly small percentage of the membership here, I doubt that a lot folks are familiar with Fishook and JD Myers the luthier.
More the province of Reso-Nation and Resohangout members.
If I weren't still in a state of GAS Moratorium I'd gladly take it off your hands. _________________ Mark |

Looks like some beautiful workmanship. Jim, you probably have your priorities straight. I decided to keep my guitars and give the house back to the bank. The guitars wouldn't have put much of a dent in the mortgage. So happy to still own my guitars and have a roof over my head today. _________________ Shobud Pro1,BMI U12, Santa Cruz F, PRS Standard, Fender Twin Reverb, ‘53 000-28 |

Thanks Don!
I have more than a few guitars, but I only have one little girl, one little boy, and one wife...
So....

This guitar has been sold to a nice young man with some killer chops, and now has a great home in Chicago...
Thanks Dan!

Big thanks to Jim for his hospitality when I came by to give this guitar a test drive. I got a chance to play it for a couple of hours with a band this morning, and it's everything he said it was and more; it practically plays itself.
When I picked the guitar up, I also got a chance to try out an EG Smith stainless steel bar that Jim had machined down to an ultra-smooth finish. It was pretty incredible. I ordered a stainless Scheerhorn bar a while ago, but I never liked it. If I can dig it up, it's going in the mail instantly for him to work on so I can finally replace my worn out chrome plated one I've been using for the last 10 years.
Thanks again Jim! |

Very glad to hear you and the Hook made it back to Chi-town fine!
Great to meet you, with chops like that, I expect to see you somewhere on TV one day!!
Just holler when you want that Sheerhorn bar fixed up....
All the best!
