Looking for some help. Seems like I had this problem before, but forgot how I solved it !
String 7- C raise to C#, pedal 8.
Release pedal, comes back sharp. If I push the pedal up with my toe, it comes back to pitch.
One thing that comes to mind, is I recently removed a string-1 raise, and moved it to pedal 5. I use a high G on C-6.
I replaced a helper spring and adjusted changer spring. Added lube. Still not working right.
This is an all-pull Jackson D-10.
Any ideas anyone? _________________ Jackson Pro-IV D-10, Fender Dual-Pro 8, Epiphone Zephyr-6 |

Move it to a faster/stiffer hole, so that it'll be timed closer to 9&10?
Or get a pedal return spring like MSA used.
It sounds like 7 is needing more travel.
Also try ditching the helper spring? _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Thanks for the quick reply Lane!
Please explain: faster/stiffer hole? (insert joke)
Would that be the next lower hole?
I had removed the helper spring some time ago, but I put it back on when I noticed this problem.
Would raising the pedal adjustment help?
Thanks again! _________________ Jackson Pro-IV D-10, Fender Dual-Pro 8, Epiphone Zephyr-6 |

For this discussion, "up" and "down" refer to the guitar in playing position, rather than on bench.
Faster/stiffer holes will be UP at the CHANGER, and DOWN at the BELLCRANK.
Before messing with those, push on the finger, to make sure the FINGER returns to C. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Moved the rod down 1 hole at bellcrank, now it works great!
I'm getting better at adjusting this thing, but sometimes I just get stumped!
Thanks so much, Lane!

Thank you. I might as well talk about the dang thing, I'm 700 miles from mine, so I can't play it...
Glad I could help. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)
