Just wondering. Is there anyone out that makes custom fret boards for steel guitars? If I were to send fret deign/picture or words? _________________ Emmons LeGrande III Pedal Steel. What kind of guitar? A local guitarist who's also a motorcycle custom paint guy is currently doing gold leaf fretwork for my Sho-bud. I'll have pics when I pick it up tomorrow, but 24K gold on "walnut" (birdseye maple stained to look like walnut) should look really pretty, with variegated gold for the "suits" as markers between frets (we're gonna get together after I mount the neck to come up with something to hide the neck mounting screws).
If you know local artists whose work you like, you could talk to them. If they like your playing, you'll get a better deal. If you have a 24" scale, I can send you a Bud board for the frets. Or the artist could just use a fret calculator, there's plenty of them. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)
