This guitar was built in the early 70's, for steel shows, it is built of Plexiglas. " just body , necks, key heads,"You can see all the working parts, it does play..for some reason, pedal bar has only 3 pedals on it, the guitar is 8 & 2... it is sold "AS~ IS"... it all works, Please note, the guitar most likely not good for playing out, .....

David, You talk about one of a kind! WOW! Take that to the gig, no one will give you room to pick. That should be in the Country Music Hall of Fame, IMHO. _________________ Bill Bailey

If I could afford it, I'd grab this amazing steel and bling it up with color-changing Christmas tree lights, those club patrons would sure notice me then! _________________ E9 INSTRUCTION

This guitar was at the 1994 TSGA Jamboree, and I played it there. Warning: this is a very heavy guitar, even for an MSA. _________________ My rig: Infinity and Telonics.
Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg? |

I'm with Bill, Bill, and Steve, we need to find a way to get this to a music museum of some sort for all of posterity to see and admire. |

David, it is very clear to me that this is clearly a good deal. You can't make it any clearer than that.

|
|
Way back in the early '70's I approached Tommy Morrell with the idea of making a "see through" guitar for demonstration. Reese liked the idea so Tom and Bud proceeded to do it with little help from me. As I recall, several were started and reached different stages of completion. At that time I don't think it was anything that was taken seriously. Later on when MSA started to get involved in steel guitar shows is when it really got some attention and serious efforts were made to really make one. Not too long after that I left the company and until now, have hardly ever thought of it. My guess is they probably made another one as these pictures were taken in the '90's,,,I don't know.
The idea came from an engine I saw at a car show that you could see through. That engine was powered by electricity instead of gasoline, but you could see all of the engine parts moving rather slowly.
