Topic: connecting up a rack mount system question |

| Hello everyone, how do I go about connecting up my rack mount system, I have an Alesis Midiverb 11, blue tube preamp, and a hafler power amp, connection diagrams would help. Steve B. |

If that was the hand I was dealt:
I'd make up a cord that came out of my guitar (vol pedal) that split into the two inputs of the MVII (left & right).
MVII outputs (left & right) into the Mic/Instrument inputs of the Blue Tube pre.
The two outputs of the Blue Tube preamp connect to the two inputs of the Hafler Amp with your appropriate choice of High or Low Z cables.
If you connect your amp out to two separate speakers, you'll have a pseudo-stereo operation, or if the amp will bridge, a one speaker mono system.
Your gain structure needs to be set correctly at each stage, and your dry-to-wet signal of reverb is controlled on the MVII.
That's one method...

To include the Alesis effects unit, you would want something like this:
Guitar > Volume Pedal > Bluetube Preamp > Effects unit > Power Amp > Speakers |

One thing to keep in mind with effects in line.
If you ramp your signal level up and down with a volume control... you will ramp up and down the level of the effects.

The Blue Tube has an effects loop in the back, that's where I would hook up the Midi verb.
Then go from the Blue Tube's output into the amp. |

Steve,
On the Blue Tube, you can even adjust the level of the effects. The Blue Tube is the best, and most versatile, pre-amp that I have found. It is the pre-amp that I use in my rack. |

| Hello Erv, my blue tube preamp has two effects loops send and receive, and my midiverb has left and right input and left and right outputs the send and receive has a left and right as well how do I connect these? |
