I recall a few harmonica players like Pat Ramsey and John Popper using surplus gun magazine bandoleers strung across their chests to carry their variously-tuned harmonicas. I would like to string one between the legs of my steel on the left side to hold an assortment of bars. Does anyone know of a source for these? I have dome the obvious internet searches. Thanks. |

Just a wild "shot" in the dark, but if the military surplus angle doesn't work out, try a hunters' supply. Me thinks shotgun shells are in the ballpark sizewise. |

I think Jeff's idea of the shotgun shell bandoleer would be a more secure fit than the type used by our military for the M16-I have lots of them-but they are loaded up with .223 on stripper clips-I wouldn't use them for holding tone bars |

They make bandoliers that fit on teh butt of a shotgun, that hold like 6 shots ogive or take a few. One of those elastic jobbies on the leg, with a chunk of 2x4 as backing and you are good to go... |

Aren't the shotgun shell holders on the bandolier open on both sides? If so, good chance of them slipping out. |

This is what I came up with on the net. http://www.gungear.com/pouches.html
Scroll down to #85. I'm holding out for an old olive drab canvas one, I know they're out there somewhere. I might just hand sew up something to do the job, though. |
