I recall a few harmonica players like Pat Ramsey and John Popper using surplus gun magazine bandoleers strung across their chests to carry their variously-tuned harmonicas. I would like to string one between the legs of my steel on the left side to hold an assortment of bars. Does anyone know of a source for these? I have dome the obvious internet searches. Thanks.

Just a wild "shot" in the dark, but if the military surplus angle doesn't work out, try a hunters' supply. Me thinks shotgun shells are in the ballpark sizewise.

I think Jeff's idea of the shotgun shell bandoleer would be a more secure fit than the type used by our military for the M16-I have lots of them-but they are loaded up with .223 on stripper clips-I wouldn't use them for holding tone bars

They make bandoliers that fit on teh butt of a shotgun, that hold like 6 shots ogive or take a few. One of those elastic jobbies on the leg, with a chunk of 2x4 as backing and you are good to go...

Aren't the shotgun shell holders on the bandolier open on both sides? If so, good chance of them slipping out.

This is what I came up with on the net. http://www.gungear.com/pouches.html
Scroll down to #85. I'm holding out for an old olive drab canvas one, I know they're out there somewhere. I might just hand sew up something to do the job, though.
