I have a Webb 614 E Serial # 1657. The reverb pan is an Accutronics. I see two
different numbers on the Pan 8BB2A1b and 2030795. JBL speaker

The amp feeds back when using the reverb. If I use an external reverb no problem.

The pan itself looks great. No visible broken wires or springs.

Any ideas on how to proceed? New pan? Different pan?

Would anyone know the approx. age of amp?

Thanks for the help

Terry

Try unmounting the reverb tank from the amp and place a fluffy towel under it. Play and see if the feedback goes away.

Might just be mounted too tight.

When I got my Webb the tank wasn't in a bag. It was just sitting in bottom of the cabinet and would do the same thing in the right conditions. I made a bag for it and it is fine. Even in a bag sometimes it can feedback if it gets stuck. You can reach in back of amp and loosen tank in the bag.

in one of my peavey amps, the reveb would start to feedback really loudly. if you tilted the amp backwards, it would go away. i think it had something to do with a connection to the spring.

What the other guys said, physical separation of the tank from the speaker cabinet is essential. Also you might verify that the input and output leads to and from the tank are correctly applied....

Thanks everyone for the help. I re-installed pan into bag and attached bag to bottom of amp. It seems to be working just fine now.
Again, thank you for all your help.
