I got this amp last week. can't find a model # . anybody tell me what it is? it says 140 way solid state. has a 15" jbl speaker. great sounding amp just what have I got and what's it worth.

Looks like a late 60s Studio all transistor model. I believe 140 watts is probably the draw and the output would be about 70 watts. I should be plenty loud. There aren't many amps better for vintage steel sound. With a JBL I would venture a value of $600 - $700. |

they are great amps. i had a custom 24 ...same amp but 2 12in lansings. i ended up putting a 15in bw in it. first amp i really got along with well.
however, that price sounds awfully high. if it ever needs work it might be troublesome due to the sealed modules inside.
also, the cabinet is light. one day the top and amp chassis separated from the bottom. i just built a heavier pine cabinet and played it for years. |
