I bought a big bunch of tabs from you Erv and today they arrived.
I want to tell everyone that these tabs are wonderful. Big easy to read figures for old eyes. I'm pouring over them tonight.
I am without a pedal steel for a while, but until I can buy another one then, I am working up tabs for my C6th non-pedal arrangements from these tabs.
Thank you for the free Sept tab of The Old Country Church. I've tabbed it out in C6th 6 string and to me it sounds real good. I do hope you're able to find the chorus for this song to tab out.
What a huge and terrific undertaking this is, praise be to God.
Good health to you, I am working up my gospel selection to order next.

Dick,
Glad to hear your tabs arrived in good shape.
You should be receiving the full version of "The Old Country Church" one of these first days, it's in the mail.
I found the complete song in one of my gospel books.
Enjoy and thanks for the kind words. |

Couldn't agree more. Erv is a real gentleman. His tabs are great - easy to read, with chords and melody line AND bar lines!
His tabs are 'cheap as chips' and are great for newbies as they are easy to play and sound GREAT!)His postal service is wholly reliable and you are getting a great deal when you do business with Erv.
By the way, what is it with tab writers who leave bar lines off - they are musical 'punctuation' and help you to keep the beat going, especially on tunes you don't know or those with lots of 'ornamentation' [twiddly bits] that have to fit the beat. Needless to say, Erv's tabs include bar lines... _________________ Ben-Rom #017 'Lorelei', Guild D25, Epiphone 'Joe Pass', Roland 40XL, Hilton VP

Alan,
Thanks for the compliments.
With my tabs, I try and fill in the blanks that are lacking with most tabs. I like my tabs to be as close to a lesson as I can get. Not only do my tabs allow you to play the song but they also teach you a thing or two about "music". |

Agree. If a person either reads music or knows the tune of the song, a sound file is not necessary.
Playing through about three of these tabs will expose a new player to most if not all of the most common positions on the instrument. _________________ Curbside Jimmy's New Act
