I played the Gulfport steel show today and noticed when I got ready to leave someone had took my guitar. It was setting right close by a case that looked like mine. My guitar is a Red SD 10 Emmons Legrande II with 4 & 5 on it. Please call me if anyone sees this guitar. Thanks Jim

Hi Jim:

Sorry you got ripped off from such a wonderful guitar. I would contact pawn shops in the area as the thief wants a fast turn around and no self respecting steel player would buy a gem of a guitar like this for very low money without their BS meter pegging 10.

Hope you get her back ASAP.

Hang in there!

Lenny

I surely hope it was a mistaken case identity and it comes back to you. May I ask? What was in the other case?

Jim,
Please update us as we all hope this was some kind of mistake. If this was intentional, it's really low. Let us know, so I can keep an eye out. I'm in New Orleans, and I'm allways on the lookout for anything for sale. If it's theft, I'd love to help you get it back.

Craigslist is a good place to look as well a lot of stolen things have shown up there.
I have seen the old walk out with a closed case a cpl times a friend had an old RB 250 Gibson Banjo a guy walked out but a friend spotted him and he took off buy heh heh Cops got his Buns!Smile.
a GOOD lesson NEVER pack up and leave any instrument unattended UNTIL ready to leave it is like packing it for them to steal.. it is unfortunate a$$'s like this exist but they do..

This is great news. I m glad to hear it. Not many folks at that show who aren't known by someone there, so it would be really predatory for someone to show up and do something like that. Glad to hear about the good news.

On most of my guitar cases I have one one of those leather luggage identification holders with the clear plastic window with my contact information. If someone grabs it by mistake at an evenlt, they figure it out in about two seconds.
