Been listening to Sid's new C D called " Savvy ". I know some of you already have this, but, for those of you who don't, GET IT!
It doesn't matter if your bag is country or jazz etc.. This C D has something for everyone. Sid's steel playing and guitar playing are stellar examples of what a true musician should strive for.
So, Do yourself a favor and get this C D and enjoy one of the best musicians you will ever hear.

Not only is Sid's playing outstanding, but his tone is excellent. Does anyone know what kind of strings he uses?

I think he rotates between Black Diamond and Erne Ball, depending on who is running a sale....

He does get a great tone on steel and guitar. I hear the heavy influences of Joe Pass and Buddy Emmons. The more I listen the better I like this project. Very musical, not just a bunch of licks strung together.
2 Thumbs Up Sid!

Sid,
I really like your strings.
I've never gotten such full, rich tone off of the 3rd string before but I have a question to ask you.
Why do my fingers get black from your strings?

Sid, it was indeed a pleasure to meet you last week. I'd been looking forward to it since I discovered you live in my old home town. Enjoyed it very much and thanks again for the CD. It's great! I really appreciate you taking time out of your busy schedule to chat with Donald and me.
I'll be contacting you soon for some more strings. Keep on keeping on!

Your correct Jay. It does not mention a free Cd however, when you order a set of strings we just include the Cd in with the order.

Also, we do not charge for the extra weight on the package to ship the Cd.
