Anyone ever tried a Quik Lok BZ-7 seat with a pedal steel? They are adjustable from from 17.9" to 25" and also fold up for transport.

| IMHO. $90 seems a little high for what it is. I have used an adjustable piano bench like it before and had no issues |

The thing I don't like about the good piano benches is they are too wide. My wife has one, the width makes it hard for me to do some levers. It's easier if the seat "fits" your rear.

I use a 25 dollar drum throne and it works just fine. My stuff goes into a backpack... including the throne.

Scott, it looks pretty sturdy and light at the same time. If you have tried one, is it stable? I weight 175 lbs. It is something I'd consider buying . I ant to the site and found this information to add to Scott's. thx, This might even be American made!!!! If so, I will spring for one. stevet

I've seen several of the inexpensive folding "piano stools" used by Steeler's. Carter Guitar Co sold one, I think Bobbe Seymour sells one. They are not very wide.
However, after using (and building for a while) regular Steeler's seats with a back since the late 80's, I won't return to a backless seat. |

| Company website indicates a backrest will soon be available for this stool. For me 20lbs is a bit too heavy to warrant giving up a pack-a-seat. |

| It could be incorporated into a hand cart with a detachable amp stand, pack-a-seat box. Even a place to slide in a folding mic stand and extension cord. I always hated the idea, that after I got inside and all set up, my folding hand cart basically had no other use. I have a day pack attached to mine. Mics and mic cords get toated it that. Power outlet got velcroed to the handle. But it is a work in progress. |

I have not tried one if the BZ-7s. I was hoping someone had. If I get to Chattanooga or Knoxville, I will look at one (and sit on it) at a Guitar Center.
As for 20lbs being too heavy, my pac-a-seat weighs a lot more than that. I understand I'll need a carry bag of something for accessories.
