I would just like to tell you guys, I called GFI today to ask about some parts, they answer the phone on the second ring, and as nice as they can be, they are sending me my parts in the mail, awesome customer service, if you buy a GFI guitar I can tell you one thing, you will get all the support you need, and more.... a big thank you to all of the guys at the GFI....

I'll throw my hat in the ring on this topic too.
Had one of the plastic butterfly screw caps that hold the pedal bar, snap in half. GFI sent me an upgraded metal pair at no charge.
Awesome company and a great guitar. _________________ Too much equipment....I think I need help. |

Ditto on Geoff Barnes' experience. I had one of those plastic butterfly screws snap at a gig. Bob told me they had since upgraded that part and sent me metal replacement screws at no charge. I also had a problem with the handle on my case and they sent me replacement parts for that too. They always respond to email questions in a timely manner. I had a guy that had bought some mica from GFI and was afraid to change it so I told him I would do it.
I called Bob and from the first time I called he was great and gave great information. I called several times and he did not hesitate.
It is now a Red, White and Blue GFI and he loves it.

I played a cheap GFI at a music store a few years ago and found it to be one of the worst pedal anything I ever sat down behind,I didn't expect a franklin but it was shaking wobbling horrible tone, cheap looking, pedal noise out of the park,I hope the the more costly ones are better. Al Vesel said he got a pro model with bent fingers from the factory??? |

Bill that’s why I don’t shop or buy from “Music Storesâ€.
They probably took it in on trade from someone that could have given two Bull Squirts about taking care of a perfectly good and professionally built instrument.
Typically they don’t have a clue what a steel guitar is or how it should be setup.
For that matter most name brand guitars in music stores are in dire need of a proper setup.
I would say from experience the “Music Store†is at fault NOT the builder. _________________ No Avatar only a picture of my Mentor. |

I recently took delivery on my 3rd GFI, a U12. Bob Diekmeier generously shared a lot of his time in back and forth with me, and getting the guitar delivered set up in such a way that it'll be an instrument I can wholeheartedly spend some delightful hours, days, months and years with. He conferred with Gene Fields and even another builder to get things right. Is that going the extra mile or what?
In a time where incompetance and indifferent customer support are the new norm, the folks at GFI stand out as rare and delightful exceptions to the norm. I'm extremely grateful to them.
