what tuning did Don Wardon use on his eight string Shobud,with the two pedals? This was when he was playing with Porter Wagoner . JAMES TAYLOR Smile Smile Smile

BTW, the earliest pics show the two pedals to be at the changer end of the guitar. Then, a couple weeks later, they were changed to the keyhead end.

At one time Don told me he used D9th on this particular guitar. I caught their show soon after he began playing this guitar and asked him about his tuning. Eight strings and no chromatic's.

I had heard that Don used an E tuning. I think it was a straight E ; not E9, but perhaps someone knows better? YOURS JAMES TAYLOR Smile Smile Smile
