Mike was playing with Young Country at an outdoor event in Cave Creek. We chatted about a lot of things including an Emmons story or two.
Mike currently uses a TC Electronics G major effects unit. He also uses just a touch of 1 lower octive and sometimes just a touch of 4ths. He likes the reverb in this unit and is not afraid to turn it up.
I stood next to the stage and was able to catch ALL of his great playing. No security guard chasing me away.
It you get a chance to hear Mike play or purchase his "Dreams Of India" CD to it.
This band was LOUD, he could PUSH, I just drooled and smiled a lot.
More of Mike come Friday.

I don't know much about Mike's playing, but what I have heard and seen, his bar movements are exquisite.

Larry I didn't see Miguel last night, but I heard him in my dreams.
He was playing "Rolling In My Sweet Baby's Arms"
I woke up screaming with a tree trimming tool in my hands, about to cut my fingers off. 
Mike's the greatest!!!

Fred you need less coffee at night. 
Off to see Mike again tonight at Harolds Corral, more great tone and execution. Did I mention what a nice guy his is?

| Mike is one of the finest steel players out there and has been for years. I use a TC Electronics G major too and I don't sound anything like Mike. Go figure. |
