Despite the intrinsic provenance-I cannot see a Bigsby volume pedal being worth what one of the Bigsby pedal steels brings at the top end price

I had a shot at it just before it got appraised and would have been happy to get it for 2 grand. Great piece, all of our heros tried it, but 10 Gees?

ANYONE CARE TO VENTURE as to how long that item will be on the shelf? How long has it been there already?

It was under a bed for decades.

I think it has been there for a year already.
They are just waiting for an idiot to show up and pay that amount.
It takes up very little space, so they don't mind waiting for a couple of years.

(I wonder if Bobbe would be interested for his collection)

I have a Bigsby tone/volume. Had it about 40 years. Bought it in a mucic store after all my gear was stolen. Stamped number on the bottom indicates #4. Think I'll just hang onto it. $ 10,000 HA !

Carl
Was Leo aware of that? Shame Shame On You.

Bill, banks are not the best place to store what you have.
Bury it in a box in your back yard. Just keep your dog out of the yard.

He probably was,I know he was. I think he looked at it a time or two. I liked the Fender tone/volume better.

So if I buy this sucker, will the pot fit my Goodrich pedal? The old pots are better, right?

Jody, thanks for the good advice - but-- I have a very large German Shepherd patrolling the yard and she can jump the fence into the pasture to get at that "jewell". Maybe it will go up into the attic in the barn and covere it with hay. No one would ever think to look there for a Bigsby pedal worth that much. Just dont tell anyone..
