What else is out there? Any good/bad experiences with any of the models listed above? |

I'm getting good reports on the Rocktron Velocity 300, but haven't heard it.
The Stewarts are adequate, but I find them a bit sterile, but not bad.
The Peavey DPC series are ugly and nasty, early class-D technology. Not a sweet amp to use for steel. Ok for driving subwoofers though.
Don't know the EV...

The A.R. T. SLA and Bryston 2b are two more units that could be included in that group.

I have been using the Telonics PA4200 Stereo power amp for quite a while and it's very very good - and weighs 5.20lbs..
I still have a Peavey DPC750 which I have had for 20 odd years - built like a tank and weighs almost as much (15 lbs) but it is super reliable - but as Brad said above they are fairly bland and old tech compared to todays offerings.

| I guess I didn't include the Telonics in my list because I simply cannot afford it. I don't doubt that it's a great unit, but at 1858$, it's waaaaay out of my league. |
