I have a pair of 8 inch Mackie powered speaker and one has developed a buzz. Nothing seems to eliminate including ground lift. Power supply maybe?

Swap the cables from the source. Does the buzz change to the other speaker?

Does it buzz when nothing is plugged into it?

I had a problem with my Samson (Resolv 6.5a) studio monitors. It turned out I was using a headphone out on my Roland Octa-Capture to drive the monitors. I switched to the correct "line out" and the buzz went away.

The buzz is there even if I disconnect the input and swap power cords.

I have a pair of Mackie 824s too. Even though they are "magnetically shielded", have you moved anything around in your studio recently? Like put a computer monitor right next to the speaker that is buzzing?

Just fishing...otherwise I guess you have a power supply gone bad in the speaker.
