I just finished reading Burt Bacharach's autobiography. He wrote some good ones, including a favorite, "Walk on By" as sung by Dionne Warwick. Here's my arrangement with lap steel and tenor sax.

Indeed a great classic song. Nice easy feeling with the lap steel. A Sierra? Whatever what it is, it's in good hands |

Hi Mark and Jan,
Glad you like the sounds. I'm using my 6 string Ricky Frypan, C6th tuned to a high G. I'm not sure what key the original was in, but I'm in the key of F.

Hey Chuck! Another winner!
Seems like we both have a penchant for those older songs with class. Bacharach`s talent, just seems to reach out and grabs you, along with his former partner Hal David, and performed by Dionne Warwick, made musical history. I totally enjoyed your rendition, keep up the superb good work.

Nice one Chuck! Back in the sixties on my transistor radio there was Dionne Warwick and the next song was a Jimi Hendrix song etc., but I mostly liked everything they played. _________________ Fender Kingman, Sierra Crown D-10, Evans Amplifier, Soup Cube. |

Thanks, guys. I always enjoy turning vocal tunes into steel guitar instrumentals. It helps when the tune has a recognizable, strong melody like this one.
