I've come across an incomplete pedal steel guitar project. It is built as a 6 string with two pedals, with a decent looking changer. If I were to set this up 6 string C6, what would be the most useful thing to do with the two pedals? Or, would it be a better candidate for an E tuning? Is it even a worthwhile project to consider. _________________ GFI SM10 3/4, 1937 Gibson EH-150, 2 - Rondo SX Lap Steels and a Guyatone 6 String C6. Peavey 400 and a Roland 40 Amps. It depends on which way you want to go.
With only 6 strings, I'd stick to C6 CEGACE. P1, I'd lower 5, P2 I'd raise 2 and 3 to D and B respectively. You'll also want to drop 5, but it's possible with slant bar. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Thanks Lane, I'm not sure if the mechanism will do a lower though. Here's the link if you want to take a look:

Looks a little crude, but might could be refinished and prettied up a little bit I was thinking. Do you recognize the changer, and it is worth anything?
Just is just something I stumbled across and would probably be better left alone _________________ GFI SM10 3/4, 1937 Gibson EH-150, 2 - Rondo SX Lap Steels and a Guyatone 6 String C6. Peavey 400 and a Roland 40 Amps. Behringer Reverb Pedal. |

Decided to pass on this one. Got enough irons in the fire already I think. _________________ GFI SM10 3/4, 1937 Gibson EH-150, 2 - Rondo SX Lap Steels and a Guyatone 6 String C6. Peavey 400 and a Roland 40 Amps. Behringer Reverb Pedal. |

If the guitar operates as described, it could do lowers.
But definitely a hobby guitar. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)
