Who these days makes a flagship standard S10 that is not a SD-10.... I have seen lots of people asking the same questions, seems like most of the S10, come in at entry-level pro models only , and flagships that's are chromed out and lacquered are mostly Singles on a double frame.

Think 70/80"s shobud S10 etc.

I saw a new Desert Rose Saturday night. It was an S10 built on like a 1 1/2 body. Had a pad about 2 inches wide on the back. Beautiful guitar. Body similar to old MSA S10.

BMI makes a great sounding pro model S-10 , the Axius II.

I think I miss read your post. I do believe BMI makes a lacquer body S-10, though.

Infinity - I played a beautiful S-10 awhile back.

And like Chris said - Fessenden for sure. I had an S-10 that I wish I still had. Every bit as high quality as my D-10 Fessys.

Once you include the left knee ergonomics the S10 can be problematic. A wider body makes it much easier to locate the left knee levers where you can get to them. Even two or three inches, as Desert Rose has done, can make the instrument much more comfortable to play.

Gary Rittenberry of Rittenberry Steel guitars builds one that will stand with any of them.

That's what I got lar, love it...I was more curious about the lacquer style body and chrome end plates in a S10 eventhough I know it is not as durable as Mica in freezing weathers. I was just curious about the current S10 market.
