Anybody have some of these. I would like to see this steel set up by the weekend if possible. Hopefully someone close that could mail them in a couple of days.
Thanks |

Thanks Michael I have already sent him an email. Maybe you should make these. Are those ring clips from some automotive piece? |

The 'E' clips can be purchased at Ace or any good Hardware store. They call them retainer rings. As for other Emmons parts, they are getting impossible to find. Hopefully Michael will start making them. _________________ Emmons D-10, ST-10,LD-10 III, NV-112,Fender Deluxe Reverb. Authorized wholesale dealer musicorp.com! |

NAPA auto parts has them about $0.25 ea. last time I bought some.
I would carry a sample to be sure to get correct size.

The original style Fessenden bell cranks will work on an Emmons. |

Michael makes some nice 7 hole bell cranks that I think are plenty of holes to time just about any pull. I believe they would work fine on a Emmons. RP _________________ Emmons SKH Le Grande, '73 Fender P/J bass, Tick tack bass, Regal high strung, USA Nashville 112. |

Derby's will work if you're in a jam. AS will the old Emmons 4 hole's. Just thought I'd mention it if Emmons parts are that hard to come by.

Buy from Mcmaster Carr or someone other than Hillbilly Supply -- NAPA Auto Parts.
A friend of mine lives in a 27,000 square foot house north of UCLA because his Dad essentially founded NAPA Auto Parts. Well, he does need to buy his next Bentley.
I see so many folks complain about costs of pedal steels, yet they pay four times what they should for less expensive items and don't give it a second thought.
Buy 100 clips and share the rest through the Forum, unless you think it is too much trouble to share the cost savings.
If you do share, however, be careful. In the past I have shared excess parts with pedal steel mechanics so they could pass along the zero cost to their customers -- neither of them did that -- they charged full boat for what I gave them for free.
By the way, Mike Cass is NOT one of those who charged customers for parts he received at no cost. _________________ Chris Lucker
