Paul is a good friend and a fine, fine player. I See Hawks In L.A. is still together and has an incredibly good new album out ("Mystery Drug"). Double Naught Spy Car is also still together as well..great eclectic instrumental music. You can find out about gigs and such on Facebook and the interweb.

Thanks Geoff. I like the sounds he getting out of his steel. Is he a forum member? I would like to know what his effects and amp(s) are. In all the video's there's always something in front of him blocking the view. A video of his rig would be nice.

Hi Dennis,

I'm friends of Old Californio as well as Paul Lacques. Old Californio are just finishing up a new album and are playing this weekend at Pappy & Harriet's out in Pioneertown with Mother Hips and Los Lobos among others. Paul and I See Hawks did a big European tour earlier this year in support of their latest. Paul is a lefty, has great tone, plays just about everything including lap and pedal steel...

Hey, all, I just joined Steel Guitar Forum, very cool to be here.

Yes, I'm still gigging till the money runs out, as the joke goes. Double Naught Spy Car and I See Hawks In L.A. both released CDs in 2013, now plotting our next move.

Paul, welcome to SGF. As you can see from my post I'm a fan. Really like you playing. A rig rundown would be great. Do you have other lap steel's?
