My Nashville 112 is a great amp and is the best sounding amp I've ever owned, however, when I'm recording there is a hum from the amp that's annoying. I have unplugged everything and the hum is still there. On live gigs it performs flawlessly and I don't notice the hum. I only notice it in the studio and wonder if anyone else has the same problem. Other than that, the amp is excellent. I'm wondering if all the 112's have this problem or is mine the only one. Any suggestions you have are welcome. Thanks NM

Are you using a mic, or going direct?
If direct, I'd suspect ground loop, try a HumX.
If you mic, I got nothin'.

If you are using an XLR cable to connect the amp to the recording board, it sounds like the XLR cable ground is connected to the 3rd wire ground. The XLR cable ground must not be connected to the third wire in an XLR cable (at least on one end) or ground loops can occur.

I got his from a friend who is a retired TV broadcast engineer and has worked with many XLR cables in TV studios.

Mine only hums with the amp reverb...the more the verb is up, the louder the hum - I went to a Boss RV pedal and keep the verb on "0".
