Has anyone ever heard of this steel? It is a 12 string, I'm guessing some type of beginner's model from the 70's due to a 3 pedal 1 lever setup, or possibly an older model before multiple levers came into being? _________________ GFI SM10 3/4, 1937 Gibson EH-150, 2 - Rondo SX Lap Steels and a Guyatone 6 String C6. There was a "Mark 1", made by Market-Rite, but I don't think they ever made a 12. My guess is that a "Mach 1" is an off-brand guitar or home-made guitar that someone put an old Mustang "Mach 1" logo on. |

Ok, after further details, it is not a 12 string, but a 10 string. Pedals do not have the "Market Rite" logo and owner says it definately says "Mach 1" not "Mark 1"
Also fret markers are a series of diamonds on a fretboard made of metal.
Setup sounds the same as a Maverick from what he can tell me, but rods on the undercarriage are heavier. I have absolutely no idea what this is. _________________ GFI SM10 3/4, 1937 Gibson EH-150, 2 - Rondo SX Lap Steels and a Guyatone 6 String C6. Peavey 400 and a Roland 40 Amps. The more I research this, the more it is appearing to be some derivative of a Market Rite or Cougar guitar. But definately not labeled Mark I. Maybe a prototype or something...probably will never know. _________________ GFI SM10 3/4, 1937 Gibson EH-150, 2 - Rondo SX Lap Steels and a Guyatone 6 String C6. Peavey 400 and a Roland 40 Amps. It definitely is a Mark I. Got it for a very fair price with some accessories I needed. _________________ GFI SM10 3/4, 1937 Gibson EH-150, 2 - Rondo SX Lap Steels and a Guyatone 6 String C6. Peavey 400 and a Roland 40 Amps. Behringer Reverb Pedal. |
