In the opinion of the Forum, what is the best amp to use for the Mullennium Universal 12? The range of music is from Wes Montgomery jazz to Country E9th.
Thanks for the info,

I'd recommend the Stereo Steel amp system for any steel. Last I knew, Reece was still using his. |

Jerry,
FWIW.
I play my new U12 thru a PV S2000. Pretty close to a NV1000. Great guitar + great amp |

I'm with Jim on this one, I got to hear and play the Millenium through the PV 1000 and the Stereo Steel in Dallas and my choice would be the Stereo Steel hands down.
I would suggest you try it through any amp you can get your hands on and make sure the Stereo Steel is one of them then you'll hear the difference for yourself. |

Unfortunately, as another post noted, the Stereo Steel website is down. In the meantime you can email GD Walker, the designer and builder, at gdwalker@mei.ws or call him at (619) 460-5008.

Thanks for the added info on Stereo Steel, Jim. I tried a Google search and found them but I couldn't access the site, either. I'll give an email or call tomorrow.

I've used mine thru both a N'ville 400 and currently the Stereo Steel, with a Roland GP-100. 1501-4's Duane Marrs cabs. Great sound.
I did use a provided Session 400 recently at a 5 night casino showroom and it sounded killer (with the GP providing Rev/Delay/Chorus).

Hi Danny,
I'm looking at you on the MSA website. My guitar is going to look a lot like yours. What pickups did you get? I think the picture has a Geo L.
Have you compared the Digitech Quad 4 that Gerry Walker is selling with the Stereo Steel system to the GP100? Where can I find out about the Duane Marrs cabs? Are they different from the ones at Stereo Steel?

I invite any steel guitarist to bring their guitar to the upcoming St.Louis Steel Guitar Convention and plug into the Nashville 1000 and try it out. If you don't have your guitar with you, we will have a top line Carter guitar for you to play. I will be glad to assist you in achieving "your" tone using the Nashville 1000.
I can easily be reached toll free during the weekday hours of 8am-5pm CST and will discuss this with you. Our offices will be closed July 4th, and I will begin vacation on July 10th and return on July 21st and will be in the office until I leave on August 27th for St.Louis.
It's an easy call and I'll be glad to assist.
Our North American toll free number is 1-877-732-8391. Peavey is the largest manufacturer of portable sound equipment and the only major manufacturer who supports the steel guitar community. And you can always locate a Peavey dealer in your area. Visit our website at; www.peavey.com

Duane Marrs - http://www.marrsofmadison.com/ . I used his cabs as they are tolex covered vs. Ozite for Gerry's. Just my personal choice....
I did not compare the GP and Digitech. I was already using the GP. I like it a lot, and thanks to Tommy Detamore for the info on the GP.
I do have the E-66 on the MSA but am going to try the Tru-tone shortly, for grins...
