I bought a different brand and mine was a dud! Might take the guts out one day and put something else in there. Good luck with yours! _________________ Justice The Judge SD-10, 2007

I've seen some pretty good reviews on this particular model. I built one a while back and it didn't work well, lots of noise and recently quit working at all.
I picked up a little 5 watt Washburn amp that runs on a 9V battery the other day at a pawn shop for $15 for this purpose...has a headphone jack. _________________ GFI SM10 3/4, 1937 Gibson EH-150, 2 - Rondo SX Lap Steels and a Guyatone 6 String C6. I see a lot of posts about headphone amps. A cheapo ( Berringer etc.) mixer will work much better than any of the little pocket-sized amps, and you can play in stereo snd mix in other sources, like a cd or mp3 player. Plus, the better the mixer, the better the sound. Any mixer will sound better and be way more flexible that those littleheadphone amps. |

I saw this and thought others may like to see it as well. Never suggested anyone buy it, Replace the one they like. Of course a mixer will sound better.
But if you ever been on the road on a BUS... touring...and want to pick one without bothering others, OR if you don't happen to have a Mixer in your Pocket then this may be a nice thing for you...
Meant for portability......Again no matter what you post ALWAYS someone who knows more....or wants to prove you wrong. I'm sure these guys who been playing a few years know more than us old $h@@ heads who been at it for more than 30 years...ASK THEM:) |
