Are these good AMP's? I've found one locally at a really low price, any input is appreciated. |

A very good amplifier for steel.
I never liked my tone in 'em, but most oothers sound great. The best tone of anything named Nashville (400, 1000, 2000, 112) _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)
More amps than guitars, and not many effects |

i'm content w: the one that i've had for about 8 years now
it's got plenty of power
some might consider it to be big & heavy
it's light compared to a twin
even lighter w: the peavey neo magnet replacement
the preamp can be bypassed if you want to use the amp section w: a different preamp |

350-400 is normal. Over 5 is robbery, under 3 is cheap! _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

I bought one of the early ones in 2000 and sold it in 20007. It wasn't bad except for the reverb was awful. I heard later that they had a mod to fix the reverb. As far as tone is concerned, it sounded a little dry and synthetic in my opinion. However I didn't notice that until I heard some other amps at a steel show.
But its still not a bad amp as I was content with it for 7 years. |

Hey Lane
You forgot the Session 500
I have 2 of them. I play on Friday & Saturday Nights at different clubs one in each place.
Never have to move the amp.

Larry, I said "best tone of with Nashville in the name.
Everything Session sounds better than anything Nashville.
And I'm glad you don't have to move those 500s. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)
