Sven Kontio, Myself and Buck Reid are planning another Scandinavian Steel Guitar Seminar for February 2014. Wed like to invite you to join us for a "Knee Deep in Steel Guitar" weekend! On the heels of our last 2 successful events, we are planning something bigger, and better this year.
Our idea for this seminar is to have one of the worlds most accomplished players/performers, Buck Reid, join us for a 2 day, 16 hour event. Buck will be sharing his teaching techniques, and approach to the PSG, as well as performing with ALL of us at the end of day 2..!
While Buck is presenting his material, I will (be learning too of course!).. spend 1 on 1 time, within the group assisting you in disseminating his material, and making sure you get the most out of your time with us..
The event will be held in the same location, Koeping, Sweden, and we are looking to all of your for input on dates...Right now our idea is Feb 23...same as last years!..Koeping is a 1.9 hour drive from Stockholm..

John..Ive not really pushed US seminars yet as a recent move (again)..and a new employer have taken 4 months to complete. There was talk of an Australian seminar which I agreed to do for expenses only...and obviously that was out of the budget guidelines...LOL...Ive considered retiring from flying, buying and RV and just traveling full time...Not quite to that point yet. Nothing would make me happier than to continue promoting the instrument here in the US...
As far as Mr Reid goes...I can tell you from personal experience, he is not only in the top 1% of players worldwide, but hes a very personable, professional guy... Ive made great strides in my playing studying his technique by ear, and tab, with his support...As i progressed it reinforced my view that exercise and repetition are the key to REALLY progressing...And Buck agrees with me...you can't bypass the "seat time"...Its hard work...But you and I know...Its all worth the effort...  ...
It would make it much easier for me if local associations would request one and line it up on their ends. If requested, id travel just about anywhere,,Im used to it!!!>...
