Kayton just keeps getting better and better! The first time I heard him was way back in 1971. He was playing those funky 7th chord riffs way back then and he's playing them even hotter and more aggressively today! Go cat go!

For a moment there, I thought it was David Letterman on steel. No, seriously, Kayton is a monster! He is the swinginest steeler this side of the black stump. (Australianism.)

Kayton Roberts is certainly one of the top steel guitar players. He deserved to be inducted into the STEEL GUITAR HALL OF FAME many years before 2012.

This is one that I watch whenever I'm workin' it too hard and want to be inspired by a man truly lovin' what he does:

I wanna be Kayton when I grow up. Very Happy

Kayton hears it in his head before he plays it and he then executes it perfectly. That's the goal for all of us. Add in his driving sense of swing and he's unbeatable in that style.
