Renowned pedal steel guitarist Bob Hoffnar will present his multi-discipline/ multi-media work If There Is A Fork In The Road, Take It at The Back Studio, located in South Austin, on Thursday, August 29, 2013.
Hoffnar will perform live with his ensemble Lunch Money alongside a video shot by Ballet Austin dancer and video artist Paul Bloodgood. The video captures Ballet Austin dancer Michelle Thompson's choreography set on dancers Beth Terwilleger and Magdalena Jarkowiec.
Thompson's choreography was created in response to a recorded improvisation by Hoffnar and his ensemble Lunch Money. In a reversal of response, Hoffnar and his colleagues will improvise a new sound track, live and in the moment, to Thompson's choreographic ideas. _________________ Bob |
