I bought Ron Scott's Mutron on the forum.
Diggity. I'm not sure if that's what the Big E used ca. 78-82 (did he turn it off ever in that time?), but damn, it's close. I'm running it on M, with a rate of about 5.4.
I'll try to get my lovely and patient fiancee to shoot some video of me getting all 1981.
Now, where are my hush puppies?
I love this box.

I though he used a MXR rack-mount unit, but I could certainly be wrong.

Make sure you set it to "STUN". Don't want anyone getting seriously hurt.

Austin City Limits - The Nashville Super-pickers.
The other steel belongs to Russ Hicks (playing rhythm during this shot)

Was that a 90 or a 45?
And as rich as his phased tone was, I can't help but think it was tweaked. I never got mine to sound like that.

Which Mutron did you get? I have a Phasor II that I love, but I use a Whirlwind Orange Box as it takes up a lot less real estate.

I heard a band, I think it was the Black Lillies on the radio recently. And their PSG player was using some phase in a very tasteful way.

Original Phasor, not II. I dig it.
