I found an old photo that brought back some good memories from my early music career. We were asked to back Carl Phillips somewhere in Illinois. I was a very basic steel player, only been playing out a few months, but Carl treated me like I was a super player and gave me some good advice in building a career in the music business. I was told that Carl was killed in a tractor accident shortly after this photo was taken. (1973)

When there used to be the 'Disc Jockey Conventions' in Nashville, Carl
would have round-the-clock jam sessions out at his place in the country.

while & when ya come to, take up where ya left off!
