That's Dan Balde's page.
Dan bought up a bunch of the old Bigsby palm pedal stock and paraphernalia a few years ago. He used to post on the Forum -- for that matter, so did Boomer -- haven't seen either around recently.
I used to have a Dobro with two palm pedals emulating the A and B pedals (D to E and B to C), but it was pretty cumbersome due to the ergonomics of the Dobro guitar, so I removed them. FWIW.

| Sheryl Crow's lead guitarist uses a setup very simular to the one in the link. Although he does some very basic pedal steel sounds(tasty none-the-less), I believe there is some great potential with this type of guitar. |

How cool is this thing!  As a guitar player trying to learn steel for the last 25 years, this looks like it has some real possibilities. Of course, it might just be another reason for new players not to learn real pedal steel guitar.  |

Hey Dave,
I've been pretty busy handing personal matters.
A little over a year ago, my wife was hit by a "Semi" & thrown from her car. She broke her pelvis in three places, broken left arm and right wrist. She was in the hospital for a month and in a wheel chair for another. A month after her release, while I was shuttling her from one Drs. appointment to another, I was hit by a "Semi". So I have had a lot on my hands.
I have been able to fill orders, but they take a bit more time.
I have been looking to get back to playing, but haven't had time enough to pursue anything yet. I was having a lot of fun adapting my playing style and stretching out on the universal before all of the chaos. I am hoping to get to work "out" on it soon.
I get down to Doylestown occasionally, it would be great to get together.

Hey everybody,
For you guys that are speculating "why", the big pluses are a chance to stand up to play & sing and for quick & easy set-up for rehearsals & jams. The instrument is great for the "single-note" or "interval-lead" solo play used in "new country" (Bruce Bounton / Paul Franklin type stuff), saving the STD or Universal for "traditional", "full-chord", "big-band" or Jazz stuff.
If you check the Website you will see that I am working on an eight-string lap version with a "D" lever set-up (roots lowered) based on the simple, very earlier "steel" set-ups. Or an eight-string lap with the "F" lever like the early "Day" set-up. It's a good place to start and learn to progress to the "Full-Steel" set-up.
