OK boys and girls, I have basically rebuilt the guitar from stem to stern. Rebuilt both changers, made sure everything else is as good as I know how to get it. I have not rodded the guitar just yet. My thinking on this is that you may want a set up that is more "custom" to your liking. It has 8 floor pedals and 4 knee levers that are all factory installed and are anodised black on the knee levers and natural aluminum on the floor pedals. I have new knee lever kits but, they are not anodised, should you want any added levers.
The price now is $2950 as an 8 and 4. I have put 31 hours so far into rebuilding this guitar and anticipate another 4 to 8 hours setting it up.
So, if you're looking for a really super, better than factory Emmons Lashley Legrande, here's your chance. And, I'm here to tell ya,,,this guitar has a really "better than most other LeGrande guitars" sound and sustain. For those who know what a really good Push Pull sounds like, I could blindfold you and you will swear that you are hearing one of those.
It really stands head and shoulders above anything I've heard in a long, long time. I wouldn't BS you about that.
As soon as the owner gets back from vacation (August 28'th), if it hasn't sold by then, I'm going to try to work out a deal with him to buy it myself. Man, I'm really in love with the natural "ring and sing" of this guitar and I'm involved with a hundred or more guitars every year. It is truely a superb instrument. Clean as a new pin and OMG,,,what a sound.

I am still trying to find someone to post pictures for me. Without pictures, all I can say, is that this guitar is georgous. It's black and very clean for 20+ year old guitar.

I'm so dumb! My wife found a camera that was given to us for Christmas a couple of years ago. It's a small Vivitar ViviCam X029. I can't get it to come on. I've hooked up the charger (I think),,,so maybe after a while it will come on.
What gets me is that I can work on guitars blindfolded, but I can't even operate a stupid camera. I wish I had my "Brownie" back. LOL!

Mike Brinkmeyer was kind enough to come over and take a lot of pictures of the black D-10 LeGrande.
He should have them on the Forum tonight or tomorrow.
He must have took a hundred pictures with two different cameras. Some with flash, some with out.
He'll edit them and post a few pictures for y'all to look at. Cool
Thanks Mike,
BB

Billie,
As best as I can figure and find out, it's probably a 1992. Could possibly be a late '91 or an early '93.I was also told that Jack Strayhorn built the guitar. I do not have the Strayhorn info confirmed though.

The guitar is still for sale.
Somebody is really missing out on a really super fine guitar.
A guitar of this quality in both mechanics and sound as well as cosmetic apperence does not come along every day. I'm tellin' you guys,,,the sound of this guitar is almost unbelievable,,,unbelievable good, that is.

In 1992 I was doing most of the work. Most likely one of mine. If not mine, one that was highly supervised by me.
Good or bad would be in the hands of the player! Lol
