When I caught Biller & Wakefield at the Culver Saloon in L.A., Wakefield was playing a double 8 Rick with 3 legs fully extended. Similar to an early Fender but with the Ricky horseshoe pickups. It sounded great and looked cool too. Brendon from The Blue Hawaiians was playing a similar guitar at the Lava Lounge recently, although his had four legs. Are these twin neck Ricks with legs quite rare and when they turn up what kind of prices do they go for?? Any feed-back would be appreciated. By the way The Blue Hawaiians were really very entertaining, especially on the surf/ spy type instrumentals. Unfortunately I had to leave before they finished their set (had to start work early the next day- those Hollywood clubs have a late start!). I don't think these guys gig around L.A. too much but I hope to catch them again. This one wasn't even advertised, though it was 'listed' in the entertainment section of the LA Weekly.
