Had a chance to play one today, this particular guitar was a ball buster. Great sustain and string separation. I am a PP guy BUT I could live with this guitar, it is the closest I have heard to the PP, guess Bruce found the magic for sure. Good job bud.
I know the PP sound is not for everyone, maybe only 10% of all of the players that play. But for those of us that do, we are just as "nuts" as the rest of you are about the brand that you play. Aren't you glad we have all of these choices, I am.
I mean I finally settled on just one wife, that is good, no?

Thanks for coming over to experience this ZumSteel Hybrid, Larry. Bruce told me this one was pretty special and I think we both would have to agree with him!
I think our wives are both very special too _________________ Best regards,

Hi Mike,
Yes indeed, it is Rick's 2nd Hybrid. Now I can say I've had them both The first one was #3 (it was reluctantly sold to a local friend here in Portland). He's very happy with it
Photo is of Rick backing up Darrell McCall, using one of the two guitars (probably #3). Rick told me he used it to record several tracks on Darrell's CD "Old Memories and Wine".
The one I have now is #21. According to Randy Gilliam, Rick sold it at some point to someone named Jimmy Allen. It's recently gone through someone else's hands and I just acquired it a couple of weeks ago. I think this one is a "keeper" _________________ Best regards,

Well, Chris, I really had every intention of hanging on to it, but at the time, financial circumstances prevailed _________________ Best regards,

Thanks very much Steve. I sincerely hope you find another one as nice as this one (but with the standard 2 1/2" pedal spacing you're wanting). _________________ Best regards,

I still have my Zebrawood Hybrid, and of course I love it. I had a black one, #8 which I sold in a time of financial distress. I've always wished things had been different, and I did not have to let er go...oh well, it has a good home. _________________ Steel Guitar Services:

Jerry,
It also has TT pickups and they sound real good in this guitar. I installed a pair of Emmons SC pickups in #3 and I have to admit they sounded very good...more to my liking at least, than the TT pickups that were in that one. I remember that John Hughey preferred Emmons SC pickups in his Hybrid. I think even Buddy did also but I can't seem to remember for sure. _________________ Best regards,

I've owned Doug Aman's Hybrid D10 for the last year and it's certainly been the best guitar I've ever owned. It just seems to fit real well, stay in tune and great tone. The changer end setup takes a while to get used to as I'm used to either a straight all-pull or a push-pull so it kinda warps my mind sometimes, but the kicker is that it hardly needs tuning anyway. |

Having tried almost every guitar under the sun and always going back to P/P's, I can say the Zum Hybrid is my choice of guitar. I had number 9 and it was an awesome sounding guitar. Just one of those deals where needed the money more than the guitar. _________________ Henry Matthews
