There is an article on Jerry Douglas in the new issue of Vintage Guitar, Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks on the cover. Don't have my copy yet, I'll see if it is at the bookstore later today.
Here's the gist:
Slide Ruler: Jerry Douglas’ Love Affair With the Dobro
It should come as no surprise that the world’s first-call Dobroist is truly in love with the instrument. Nonetheless, it’s refreshing to hear him gush about them. By Michael Dregni _________________ Mark |

it's cool. shows a few interesting resos of jerry's.
there's also the teaser page for the emmons tribute cd in this month. seems as if slidey steel things are encroaching on the guitar mag world.
last month featured robert randolph.
it's my favorite magazine. |

This seems to happen every few years Chris...it seems to follow RR, Jerry Douglas, or Ben Harper when they have projects. I think this is kinda sad because there are so many great Lap Slide players out there. But, don't get me wrong...we will take what we can get in the slide family. |

Well yeah, we take what we can get - but check out my thread from two years ago when Rob Ickes was on the cover of Guitar Player - even though Jerry Douglas is the most recognized dobroist in the world, I don't recall him ever being on the cover of Guitar Player where one would normally see the likes of a Joe Satriani, John Petrucci, or Steve Lukather:

Since I don't subscribe to Vintage Guitar, I have yet to get my copy of the new one. I was in Barnes & Noble yesterday and they still have the previous issue with Robert Randolph on the cover. Wait a minute - he's a steel guy!
