"Leever"...heh heh.

Seriously though, Bobbe's been touting (I love that word) his Z lever videos, and in his last e-mail he said, quothe: "The perfect place for the Z lever on a standard setup guitar is the right knee lever left position as this is another knee lever that is somewhat useless in the overall picture of playing good steel guitar."

Funny, I've been thinking the same thing. I never use this knee lever live, only in practice. The whole-tone throws (1 and 6) are too long, at least for me. To use my RKL I have to quickly shift my fat a** so that I don't kill the volume pedal. A** connected to the thigh-bone, connected to the...

SO, I'm looking for ideas for half-tone pulls for the RKL so that I can shorten the throw on it and actually use the thing. I'm thinking of raising 1 up a half and lowering 7 a half.

Your thought, idea, rambling, hi-jacking?

cheers,
Drew

I have a 1/2 step lower on string 5 only on that lever. This gives me 5 whole steps in a row which I find useful. It comes in handy when I'm looking for that mystery note in chords also.
I use it all the time. I took that change off the vertical and put it on the right knee left so I could get at it.
