I am trying to figure a way to play my Scheerhorn acoustic/electric through a wireless unit...is there such a thing? The instrument has a stereo output on it, attached to a mini-humbucker and a McIntyre pickup. I'd like to be able to run around when I play the thing, but I can find a stereo wireless unit...
Anybody ever hear of such a thing?
Thanks in advance...

Tab,

I'm assuming you'll be combining the outputs downstream? Why not take the pickups to a Fishman or Rane box and run mono to wireless.

I _may_ be missing something here!!

Hi Howard--
That's what I use, a Rane AP-13, but the instrument has a stereo output plug...
So if I go out with a stereo cord...and into the Rane...I'm not really wireless...Am I missing something? The rane is way too big to fit in my pocket...

:-)

Tab - Enjoyed your performance 7 workshop recently! How about splitting the channels in a "dual diversity" (dual channel) wireless unit to pick up/mike outputs (circuitry allowing) and spliting at the receiver to Rane etc.?
How about spending for two separate channels?
In theory, the dual div set up is two channels, although you'll need their tech guys to find out how to mod the unit. Try asking "alt.pro-live.audio" newsgroup?

OR Tab, just thought of it, go with a Fishman Pocket Blender/Preamp in your pocket
to a standard one ch wireless to the Rane.
Than you blend on the run/crawl/lurk, transmit to anchored Rane, and etc.? Course, then you miss the separate processing
of each channel the Rane allows.....Dod?

See, I've got this dreadlock wig, and this little pyrotechnic unit that shoots sparks out the front and back of the doodao, and whenever it's my turn to solo, I just turn that on...the young whippersnappers go crazy...doesn't matter what notes I play...they just dig the sparks...

Hi Tab,
A wireless "Infra Red" stereo headphone Tx/Rx unit COULD be modified to do what you want.

Ask the question in the Electronics section, I'm sure some of the Gurus could help
