After lurking and reading for a while now, I've taken the plunge, and gotten an account with b0b. Just wanted to say how much this place has been a useful source of information and misinformation (a little from column A...). It took me a while to realize why steel players are all happy to talk shop; no one else wants to hear about it At least not from me. So a big thank you to everyone here, and especially to those other New York area steel players who have put up with my stupid questions and all sorts of stuff.

Brooklyn:"The better borough".

Around here steel players are as busy as they want to be.

After moving up to Delaware from Ft. Lauderdale, I can tell you there is more country music and music in general being played live up here than there... like there is none there. a virtual desert.

You will find lots of help and friendly people here. Welcome!

You ain't kidding Bob. I played Saturday night and netted $10.00 and 3 free cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon. Ah, livin' the life...

At least nobody threw anything at me.

Wow! The whole Brooklyn Auxiliary is in the room.
Thanks Ann, I put myself on the list (in a fit of wanton and unwarranted overestimation of self).
Lawrence... they gave you beer AND money? Sweet deal One of these days I'll make it out to one of the shows.
