Hi fellas
Howdy once again, from the hills of Hendersonville, Tn.
Since I began building my contraptions,(2007) I have slowly discovered that there are a certain players who prefer not to attach any sort of appendage to their guitars,..regardless of cost, or advantage. I had a couple of different ideas for something seat mounted, sorta like this, a couple years ago. I kicked those ideas around a bit, and then forgot about them.
Inspiration strikes me in odd ways, at odd times. This week, I had a request for a seat mounted - tray. It was intended to hold a 'Line 6' M9 unit. Long story made short,..I talked the prospective customer out of a dedicated tray, and into trying out this new concept - at about half the cost of a custom tray... I'll post his product review, when I hear back from him.
The arms can be spaced as needed, and as you see are plenty sturdy enough for my Pod X3.
Side view of the 'scaffolds'. They're Lightweight, and very compact The length of the arm is 8', and the clip end is about 3".
If a player has a heavier FX unit, - Or, simply just wants them even sturdier, I can add a 45 deg angle support underneath the arms. Also, if it is a face forward unit, (knobs on front) such as an MB-200 I can add detachable 'mini-ramps', to give the player a better, dashboard view. The possibilities are endless.
Like I said, it's pretty tough to run out of room in your seat to stash these little dudes..

Dale do you have or could you make a bracket that could hang off of the front of a Amp for a Microphone to attach to? Thanks

Just received your latest gizmo. Brilliant! Much more functional and compact than what I was trying to sell you on. My Line 6 M9 sits perfectly on it. Can't wait to give it a whirl. No more reaching down to the floor between songs! |

Here are a few flicks of the Pro-scaffs w/ under support struts.
This is a 10lb dumbbell, on the ends of the arms,..no problem.
Detached. These are small, and compact, and fitted to your seat. No fuss, just clip them on for an easy scaffold set-up for your FX, or your own tray, or table top for changing strings, or whatever gear that you need to keep handy.

Hi fellas, I'm extremely gratified at the positive responses, and orders for my newest offering. Just to clarify things a bit, I'll go ahead and lay out some choices, and differences right here, and now.
...To make a clear distinction, to anyone that I may have inadvertently confused, there are two versions available - the 'Gig Scaffs', (Lower) and, the 'Pro -Scaffs'(Above)
The 'Gig -Scaffs' (8") are plenty stout on their own, for small, to medium loads, and offer a little easier packing versatility.
(#1) The 'Pro - Scaffs' feature 9" arms, - W/45 deg. supports, for larger loads
(#2) 'Bare nekkid' set up - W/10" X 3" FX-bar, and my personal cup holder (..NFS)
(#3)With FX in position...
(#4) It's plenty stout enough to engage the pedal switches,..if you were gonna ask.
(#5) In retrospect,..This was truly hideous. This (was) my FORMER set-up, using a case from 'Harbor Freight', w/ folding legs that I built from copper tubing. The lid is fully removable, but, as you can see, it's was almost half as big as my seat...
I'm sorta tossing around the idea of offering a "Lower Broadway" 'combo' package - A set of Pro-Scaffs, 10"x3" FX-bar, and a BDG cup holder,..as shown in photo #2.
If I do decide to do that, - I'll say so shortly...
(*Availability is kinda limited on the 'FX-bar' material)

Well I didn't know they were called Pro Scaffs, but I spoke with Dale about what I wanted and needed. He built the scaffolds with the angle supports, and they are quite sturdy. I just got a NYC Pedalboards Lunchbox (a very compact board with lid) which will hold my dirt pedals, and it sits quite well on the scaffolds. Certainly looks like this rig will stand up to repeated depressing of switches. Dale's a very service-driven guy, and I wouldn't hesitate to contact him for any similar gizmos.

| Just got a set of Dales "Scaffs". They are just perfect for holding my MB200 and CD player with my tracks. For me it eliminates the need to carry a little folding table with me. Not that I need my MB200 that close, but I need close access to my CD player without reaching down to the floor. Dale did a really nice job and I highly reccomend them. George |

In other news...I have another option available for mounting a BDG cup holder.
It can be placed on either side -(Preferably, the opposite side of the bass player... )

We use these in the band. They have an ingenious spring clamp that works well. They work for all mics except the very heavy large-diaphragm condensers and giant ribbon mics. Guitar Center and Musician's Friend have them for around $50. called Cabgrabbers. |
