believe it or not, yesterday i used my little practice amp on stage instead of my profex or my DD3 as effect and achieved by far the best sound i ve ever had.
the small micro cube has an amp modelling section where you can choose an tube amp and the delay section is fantastic.
into the cube and out in the nashville 112 i got a super clear great sustaining sound with no mush like with the other effects.
so seems like i buy me another one to add it to my live rig!

MicroCubes are the greatest little tool to come along in decades for the price! 
I've seen a few musicians playing various six strings through them directly into house PA's.

What model Microcube are you referring to?
They seem to sell for about $150 US.
What amp then do you use for the main sound, do you use the Microcube for a monitor? What about the 112 amp?

I've used my Mobile Cube into a PA... works great. All Cubes have some kind of headphone or line out that will drive a mixer board's line in no problem... the MC is even stereo reverb.

it`s the one on the picture, the smallest one even smaller than my peavey profex 2 processor. fits in my cable case.
i have the red one usually it`s black.
here`s the chain:
guitar-micro cube-volume pedal-peavey nashville 112.
i always noticed the great singing sound of the cube before when i used it as a practice amp.
it`s got an headphone/aux out and when i hooked it to my nashville 112, i got a better sound than with the profex or different other stompboxes i tried out.
on stage really good very present and comes through real well.
the micro cube is around 100 bucks and built like a tank.
actually the best value money can buy.

| I've been doing that for quite a while but I'm going into a Mackie 402-VLZ3 mixer and then recording directly to a CD burner. It's sounds great so I bet it does sound good thru the 112. I always loved the Micro Cube, I just use it on "JC Clean", works for me!! Only bad thing I can say about it is I wish it had a few more watts but it's still a great little amp!! I'm not too much into the effects other than a little reverb but all the effects to me sound excellent !! Loren. |

I do a similar thing with a Crate BFX15. In fact, I played the local opry show one night with the Crate BFX15 on one side, using it's delay effects and an Acoustic 15 on the other side dry. Without putting a mic on either, I had plenty of volume and great tone. I was playing a Fessenden 12 universal. I often use the BFX15 with either a Nashville 400 or Nashville 112 and get a sweet sound.
The cube amp mentioned above is one fine amp. |
