Katy was hopping today, Herb Remington started us off with Terry Bryant accompanying him on guitar, Bobby Keith on Drums and Billy Phelps on Bass.

Later Bobby Bowman, Randy Boyd, Brandon Ordoyne, Tim Marlin, David Hubenak entertained us on steel. While Billy Phelps Sang played Bass and Drums, Bobby Keith played Drums and sang, as well as Larry Schoppe and Patty Phelps played bass and sang.
Terry Barnett and his lovely wife Mary also sang and Terry and David Waters played Guitar.

Thanks go out to Patty and Billy for setting up the hall and getting the coffee and refreshments started. they do a lot of work for our group and we appreciate it. and thank you to the others that brought refreshments.

Billy said that the count at the peak was around 57 attendance, please pass the word and bring a guest lets keep this growing.

if I left anyone out or misspelled a name I apologues now.

Good job, Lee. You really do a good job of reporting and your pictures really top it off. Thanks. And, what can you say about Billy and Patty! They really put out the effort to give us a great show and alot of fellowship. The music was tops. Loved to see Herb Remington again. What a legend! The rest of the musicians really made for a great show. People pay top dollar for this kind of talent, and ours was free! David Hubinak really got some sounds out of that little 6-string lap. I was impressed.

It was an awesome time! It was great getting to see Mr. Remington! This was my first time to hear him live. It was a great crowd! Great music! It is always fun to come to the meetings, because I get to play, or try to play, music that I don't get to on a regular basis! It is a challenge, but, a fun one at that! Especially with the brotherhood of playing Steel Guitar! I was born in the wrong era!!!!! I just hope I can try to carry on the music and hopefully pass it along to my kids! (if I can just get them past the drums!! Laughing Laughing Laughing )

Great time had by all! See ya'll the next time!

Brandon

Lee

Thanks a bunch for your efforts in providing everything regarding our last Katy meeting. It was a great show and attendance. What a special treat to have Herb Remington be with us. As always special thanks to Billy and Patty for putting this all together.

If anyone can think of any body we can get or you are wanting to be the featured player, let Billy or Patty know. I think Jody Cameron is going to be in the next couple of months if he can fit it into his schedule.
Lets try to keep this going and growing.
