Buddy @ Jeffran http://soundcloud.com/tapsteel has been removed because Fran Newman asked me to delete it because it was recorded at Jeffran and has been replaced with a song I wrote called "Waiting", which features my steel as well a Buddy's. _________________ Excel 3/4 Pedal With An 8 String Hawaiian Neck, Sierra Tapper (10 string with a raised fretboard to fret with fingers), Single neck Fessenden 3/5

I think the best way to listen to them all is to start with track 1 and let it play.... Yes, that's it, Just let the player continue to play and don't skip around. _________________ Excel 3/4 Pedal With An 8 String Hawaiian Neck, Sierra Tapper (10 string with a raised fretboard to fret with fingers), Single neck Fessenden 3/5

I sure hope that Mister Emmons doesn't mind me posting his works.
I believe it was 1986. Maybe someone else could post the names of the songs. My glasses are broken _________________ Excel 3/4 Pedal With An 8 String Hawaiian Neck, Sierra Tapper (10 string with a raised fretboard to fret with fingers), Single neck Fessenden 3/5

And 6 is probably Aura Lee (which is the same melody as Love Me Tender )

I couldn't say for sure, but I know he was playing a Session 500. You'll note that great phase shifter sound from it on "You are So Beautiful". "Killer Joe" too. _________________ Excel 3/4 Pedal With An 8 String Hawaiian Neck, Sierra Tapper (10 string with a raised fretboard to fret with fingers), Single neck Fessenden 3/5

I was just thinking about Buddy's effects. I'm not sure, but he might have been using one of those first Ibanez DM? rack mount delay units. Oh yeah, and some Korg effect thing that gave him the "flute" sound too. I believe it was squarish and not a rack. I don't think there's anything beyond that. _________________ Excel 3/4 Pedal With An 8 String Hawaiian Neck, Sierra Tapper (10 string with a raised fretboard to fret with fingers), Single neck Fessenden 3/5

They are available for sale. at.... Just kidding. I remember the look Buddy gave me when I put the cord from my recording nest directly into his Session 500. I appreciate the thanks, but the biggest thanks goes to Buddy for playing his music. _________________ Excel 3/4 Pedal With An 8 String Hawaiian Neck, Sierra Tapper (10 string with a raised fretboard to fret with fingers), Single neck Fessenden 3/5

Chris,
Many thanks for sharing !!
Could this concert had been in 1983, before Buddy started playing MCI (from 1985)?
There is a picture in buddyemmons.com from the ISGC 1983 with Sid Hudson and David Smith .....

You are welcome Arnold. Again, thanks to Buddy for playing his music and letting me record. It very well could have been from 1983. Maybe Sid could chime in, if he remembers. Yes, Lucky Oceans mentioned "Blues Walk" as the first song. _________________ Excel 3/4 Pedal With An 8 String Hawaiian Neck, Sierra Tapper (10 string with a raised fretboard to fret with fingers), Single neck Fessenden 3/5
