I was wrong, Lloyd plays on this cut with J J Cale on the Troubadour album.

According to this article in Wikipedia, that is Lloyd Green on Super Blue, not Buddy. Buddy played on track 5: Hold On

Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troubadour_(J._J._Cale_album)

Hold On: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Olv5QHkUZtA

Edit: Apparently while I was typing a far more credible source than Wikipedia beat me to it. Buddy, that is you on Hold On? I find it interesting that both you and Lloyd got very similar, rather non-standard tones on these cuts.

(PS: easy to understand why Chris T got it wrong: JJ Cale's website only credits Buddy on steel guitar on that album)

It is easy to hear the difference. Lloyd plays "pretty" and Buddy creates "acid blue" if he wanted this.

It was only 2 words but I will take it. The Big E speaks.

i can't see mistaking that for buddy. man, that's the dryest recorded tone i've heard in a long time. like before i could afford a delay pedal.

Buddy, I wish that you'd throw in a paragraph here about anything. IMO, me and thousands of others would love to here from you. How are you doing? Are you still recording? I promise I'll buy you a hamburger the next time I see you.

Big E's touch/tone is the mojo of PSG. Like magical. I'm sittin' here in my office looking at an album of BE I have on a wall and looks like a p/p & Session 400 amp. A Lenny Breau album. A true master!
